There are many different environments within the World of Warcraft. Some of them are towering crags with caves and rich veins of ore. Others are majestic forests that are teeming with game animals and medicinal herbs. There are also fertile plains where farming takes place. Both villages and cities exist for people to trade to do their crafts. Then there are the places where no one wants to go. Because of the man wars and plagues that have swept the land, places like the Dragonblight are inhabited by only dead and dying dragons and the undead creatures that skulk amidst their bones. However, the crossing the Dragonblight may prove the best way to reach the Lich King. Only the bravest, or the most foolhardy would think about wanting to possess Dragonblight gold.

However, in the meantime, it might be better to stay closer to home and get your gold through the Auction House. Even though the physical dangers are less there, there are still a great many mental challenges as you navigate through the principles of supply and demand to try and turn a profit on your purchases.

Making your money in the Auction House almost means that you must a great overall understanding of all aspects of World of Warcraft. You need to know what people want in order to sell it to them.

In order to get your start in the Auction House, you need a little capital. This can be had by spending a week or so doing some serious gathering. When you have a nest egg of about ten gold, you can start to earn money.

Once of the best ways to earn Auction House gold is to buy low and sell high, just as you would do in the real world stock market. Hang around the Auction House for a while each day after you are done gathering. See what the going prices are for both basic commodities as well as more expensive epic items. Try to strike up conversations with more experienced players to see what they have paid for a variety of items in the past. When you have a feel for the market, it is time to start buying.

After about a week of watching, you are ready to start buying. Look for items that are priced below their usual going rate or the rate they can reach on a weekend.

Wait until the weekend, when prices generally go up, and then resell your item fifty or one hundred percent of what you paid for it. For example if you bought something for two gold, try and sell it for three or four gold. You’ll probably never be able to get more than double the price, so don’t waste your time.

Whether you look for Dragonblight gold on its dangerous plains or work the principles of supply and demand to your advantage in the auction house, there are many ways that you can increase your stash of gold in World of Warcraft.
