There are many different environments within the World of Warcraft. Some of them are towering crags with caves and rich veins of ore. In order to get your start in the Auction House, you need a little capital. This can be had by spending a week or so doing some serious gathering. When you have a nest egg of about ten gold, you can start to earn money.

Hang around the Auction House for a while each day after you are done gathering. See what the going prices are for both basic commodities as well as more expensive epic items. Try to strike up conversations with more experienced players to see what they have paid for a variety of items in the past. When you have a feel for the market, it is time to start buying.
After about a week of watching, you are ready to start buying. Look for items that are priced below their usual going rate or the rate they can reach on a weekend.
Wait until the weekend, when prices generally go up, and then resell your item fifty or one hundred percent of what you paid for it. For example if you bought something for two gold, try and sell it for three or four gold. You’ll probably never be able to get more than double the price, so don’t waste your time.
