Have the changes in Cataclysm been overwhelming for you. None may have been more than those of the classes, the Hunter in particular. In receiving three new abilities I can assure you that you will see a much more effective character. The Hunter always seemed to be so under utilized in the previous versions of Warcraft. I would assume the Hunter will be more of an ally on raids and PvP runs now.

First the new abilities, starting with Cobra Shot that you get at level 81.This shot causes Nature damage instead of pure Physical damage and when combined with the talents in the Beast Mastery tree could easily become the go to shot in any situation, especially when going up against heavily armored targets. It will share a cool down with steady shot.

At level 83 Hunters will get Trap Launcher, this will allow you to shoot any one of your traps up to 40 yards away in a similar fashion to the Freezing Arrow Trap which will be removed. Finally at level 85, Hunters will be given Camouflage, which effectively hides them and stops them from taking any ranged damage.

These are the new abilities, but only a small part of a much bigger picture. Now instead of using mana, Hunters have Focus which builds up like Rage instead of running out with use. In order to use abilities such as Steady or Cobra Shot, Aimed Shot and many more you will need to have enough focus built up. This completely changes the dynamics of playing a Hunter and will take some getting used to.

There was a time when a Hunter had to carry his ammo with him at all times in the form of either a quiver or an ammo pouch. As time went on these were taken away and the Hunter could carry his ammo in a regular bag. This meant that the Hunter could carry ore ammo than ever before. now once again this has all changed, there is no need to carry any ammo. All of your guns, crossbows and bows will do damage without the ammo being carried.

You also start with a level one pet and have the ability to carry up to three pets at one time. While you are able to have three pets which can be swapped any time, you are still only able to have one out as long as you are not in a combat situation. In order to change your pet to one in your inventory you will need to visit a stable master. As you can see things have really improved for the Hunter since WotLK.

The Death Knight was introduced in the mid November 2008 during the release of the WoTLK. The Death Knights are supposed to be the first Hero Class of WoW. At the surface, the ‘Hero Class’ is unfamiliar to all, since they are yet to be proven to be different than the other classes. The only exception is that you need higher level 55 characters for the creation of a Death Knight. This created Death Knight of 55 level characters uses Runic Power so that he can use his abilities.

Once you create a Death Knight you will enter the game as a level 55 character that is loyal to Arthas the Lich King. You will start fully equipped with green gear and 4, 12 slot bags and 20 silver in Acherus - The Ebon Hold which can be found in the Eastern Plaguelands. As you start questing near The Ebon Hold you will be rewarded talent points and blue item and once you reach level 57 or so you will have the regular amount of talent points for that level and full blue gear.

If I divulge you the quest chain, you would lose the interest and real fun about it. However, I can assure you one thing that the quest chain is cool and rewarding for sure. By doing the quests around The Ebon Hold you can easily reach level 58 within an hour or two. Hence although you are not intended to play a Death Knight, it will be nice if you pick up some cool lore at least. As soon as you hit 58, you will surely go to the Outlands as leveling there will not take your much time. Hence, although you do not plan to play a Death Knight, you will be stuck to play the game as it is a cool class.

A Death Knight is a melee class that possesses most of the melee weapons. One can opt for two one-handed weapons or can equip with one two-handed weapon. He can work as a tank or a melee damage dealer. However, a Death Knight is unable to equip a Shield. Instead they can have a very high parry chance by wearing plate armor.

As mentioned earlier, Death Knight is a melee fighter, since he uses Runic Power for his peculiar abilities. With the use of certain abilities, he can have 6 runes. These runes enable the Death Knight to gain some Runic Power, although they have a cooldown. This Runic Power is useful for other special abilities that cost merely Runic Power without placing a rune on cooldown.

One of the first quests you will come across is called “The Emblazoned Runeblade”. This quest will give you the ability called Runeforging. This ability can be used to forge a rune on the DK’s weapons.

Like any other class, the Death Knight has three talent trees named as Frost, Unholy, and Blood. Each tree is useful in its own way, and it depends on the player as to which talent tree or trees in combination be used.

The advantages of a Death Knight are that he starts at level 55, is very easy to level and can continue fighting for longer periods of time, can both tank and dps, they can have a Ghoul and Gargoyle pet and that they look sort of cool. The disadvantage of playing a Death Knight is that almost everybody has decided to play a Death Knight, which makes it harder to find groups and raids etc.

Not to be outdone, the goblins are getting not one but two starting areas. Level one through five players start their lives in the seedy, raucous port town of The Isle of Kezan. This is actually a specialized area that is only available at these levels, so make sure you have done everything you wanted to before leaving!

Level one goblins start out in the rough and tumble pirate port on The Isle of Kezan. Once they reach level five, their adventures will take them out into the lush jungles of the surrounding Lost Isles to investigate quests and explore beautiful and unique maps.

If you are a high level player who stopped for awhile, now is a wonderful time to start playing again! There are quite a few new zones made just for players over level eighty.

Level eighty to eighty two players have two wonderful options at their disposal. Mount Hyjal is an instanced world in which druids battle to defend the World Tree from the forces of Twilight’s Hammer and Ragnaros. Vashj’ir is an exciting underwater realm where marooned players must fight for survival against the naga forces out to enslave Neptulon.

Maxed out players at level eighty five get to enjoy the beautiful island citadel known as Tol Barad and it’s challenging player versus player combat arena. The surrounding peninsula is a questing paradise with a new quest every day to keep players on their toes. Be sure to hit the questing and PvP hubs to check out these two new zones!

Before you grind in World of Warcraft, There are few things you need to consider. You might think of these tips as basic and it can take a bit more of an “A-ha!” moments for you to realize its profoundness. No matter what class you use, these tips can help you to grind. Some classes and specs can grind better, but any class can do this.

Minimize Downtime

I think you know this one. When you grind, you need to kill as many as you want as quickly as possible. In order to do that, you have to spend as little time as possible between pulls. There are classes that receive advantage here. Death Knights, Rogues, Warriors, Hunters and Druids can utilize resource systems that make you don’t have to stop or drink. If your class can heal, you don’t have to stop to eat. But there are some tips you can use to minimize the downtime of any class.

Keep your first aid skill maxed out and has bandages for everyone. When you grind, you will encounter a lot of humanoids. Cloth shouldn’t be an issue so keep your first aid high. Remember that even though you can’t make bandages at much higher, you can use one at higher level so check AH for higher bandages or have someone make it for you at higher level alt. You can pick one up the AH with cost less than you use to make them although most people want to wait until end game before they power level their first aid.

Kill efficiently - people always say they have to kill things fast. This is not good. You have to remember that leveling by grinding is a numbers game so you have to make sure you can maintain your kill per hour. If you use your ultra powerful nukes on one mob and have to wait for cool down before you can finish off the next mob, you are not decreasing your downtime, and you are increasing it. Speed is awesome, but you want to be consistent about it.

Survive the Grinding Session

Probably the most important aspect of grinding is staying alive. You don’t earn experience while you’re running back to your corpse. For years the adage was, “Level in your highest DPS spec.” This is nonsense, and comes from the same people that tell you killing speed is the most important thing you can do. Remember this instead, “Consistency is King.” It is much better to kill 3 mobs a minute for an hour then kill 7 mobs and then spend a minute running back to your corpse followed by 30 seconds of drinking and buffing before starting to pull again. Speed comes with practice and familiarity.

Please make sure that you chose your spec wisely - when you grind, there are two things you need to remember, reduce downtime and increase survivability. When you use hybrid classes such as paladins and druids, you have a pretty strong advantage. There are things you need to consider. First, you need to play one you enjoy the most. Blizzard has balanced out the trees for most classes so I think you’re okay with this. If you don’t mind with any spec, try to look for one with survivability talents. Usually it is the one that looks like PVP tree. That is what you want to look for. There are some exceptions especially to the tankers but this tip can serve you well.
