There are only two types of players in World of Warcraft: super raiders and … the others. Now, if you’re part of the second kind, I’m pretty confident you caught yourself drooling when another wow player with a complete collection of end game raiding content outfits or with a almost impossible to pull off raiding title has stopped near you. There are also two ways to get where the elite raiders are.

The hard way, by joining a league, dying a lot of times at one boss to advance and taking your frustration to the edges of madness, or … THE EASY WAY. When I say “the easy way” I mean, by following the teachings of a WoW raid and instance guide.

As I fixed myself on the idea of becoming an elite WoW raid player, I started following a WoW raid guide, and among other things, it has shown me the mechanics of every end game boss battle in the end game World of Warcraft raiding content, through the perspective of any class type, a whole bunch of tips for squeezing the best of my toon, or how to put together my own raid group. This great WoW instance guide has also underlined the bloopers I was doing, and to help other players, I’m going to emphasize here, the probable mistakes that tanks, healers or DPSers can do in a raid.

Mistakes That Unexperienced Tanks Do

1. Not combining the correct rotation of taunting skills. This may trigger the deaths of a few people in the raid. When you are tanking, the boss or the creatures you are tanking must be yours, under your control, so the other participants can do their part for the encounter you’re at.

2. Not boosting your stats with protective flasks. As this WoW raid guide has instructed me even for the easiest bosses, having a flask up might can reduce the chances of a whole raid’s failure, if a healer makes a mistake.

3. Not paying attention to what the other tanks are doing. As tank you need to complete the other tanks and work as a team, inside the raid team..

Common Healer Errors

1. Not selecting the suitable place for healing. Many bosses have area-of-effect abilities and as a healer, remaining in that stretch you can easily die.

2. Forgetting to heal yourself. I don’t play a priest, druid, paladin or shaman but as I have learned from this WoW raid guide, many new healer players provide good healing for the other team members, but absolutely forget to heal themselves and they kick the bucket, which can take the raid to a general death.

3. Not helping the other healers. Even if you are assigned to heal only one tank, it’s always a good idea to come to the other healer’s help in case it’s needed.

Errors To Correct If You Play A DPS class

1. Attacking a mob or the boss when the raid isn’t ready. Many players, particularly the ones playing a damage dealer class lose their patience and from time to time attack the boss before the the raid is ready. This has a big chance of taking the raid to a wipe.

2. Not combining protective abilities. An important idea that I have learned from this WoW PvE guide, is that as a Damage dealer, absorbing damage is critical. Most mobs have AoE abilities and it’s a good idea to help your healers by popping up your defending skill-sets.

3. Not managing their threat. I have learned from this raid guide that the control of aggro is not entirely the tank’s job. There are addons that measure your threat, so if you get too much aggro, dig those addons down.

These tips should help you at least a little on your path to becoming a super raider. If these aren’t enough though, I strongly suggest the use of a WoW raid and instance guide.

Don’t rush into things and get the first WoW raid guide you see. Make sure you get a good one, like the WoW instance guide I got.

If you want the loot you’ve always dreamed of in World of Warcraft, the best solution is to make your own raids. Many players don’t like to bother starting a raid or they don’t have the experience. In that case, a WoW raid guide can be very helpful.

An important thing for a smooth raid run is to know the tactics for every encounter in the game. However, the WoW raid and instance guide I’ve been using has shown me everything I had to know about all the bosses within the instances in WotLK, and I always knew how to assign my men.

Therefore, to help anyone make their own successful raid runs, I’m going to share a few tips on how to assemble a great group.

WoW Raid Guide - Tips For Assembling Your Men For Raid Run Without A Fail

1. Always check the players you invite for their achievements. They must know the tactics for the bosses you’re about to kill.

2. Select only PvE equipped players. There’s a big chance that a PvP geared player won’t be effective in your raid even if he or she has the top arena set.

3. Tanks and healers are key-elements for any raid. As they don’t grow on trees, you can start looking for at least a part of them 1-2 days before your raid.

WoW Instance Guide - Tips To Make A Good Instance Group

1. Usually, the players that sign up for heroics want to gear up so don’t expect them to be extraordinary effective. But, always get a good tank or healer, and your instance runs will be smooth.

2. Make sure you balance your instance group. So, try not to invite two of the same class.

3. For instance runs, AoE tanking and DPS is indicated to be fast. So try and get the classes with strong AoE abilities.

These tips should enhance any players leadership abilities at least a little and help even a raiding beginner conduct a raid without a fail. However, if you want to know all the tactics and strategies for all the bosses in Northrend and other zones, and also everything about making a super raid group, I strongly suggest to use a WoW raid guide or a WoW instance guide.

You can find here a complete WoW Raid Guide that covers the whole raiding content in WoW. Also, here’s more info about a great WoW Instance Guide.
